ROZALIA PYROZYK (SZWED)

Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROZALIA PYROZYK (nee SZWED) October 23, 1925 - February 14, 2007 Peacefully, in her sleep, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away at the age of 81. Rozalia was born in the village of Urich in W. Ukraine. Before immigrating to Canada in 1950, she lived and worked in Germany and England. She met her love, Wasyl, in Winnipeg and in 1955 they married and enjoyed 45 years together. Rozalia loved nature and family life and was dedicated to her family, which was always her first priority. She enjoyed many hours in her large garden in St. Andrews and later at the cottage near Camp Morton. As a former member of Institute Prosvita Women's League, she will be missed by many of her friends. Rozalia was predeceased by her brothers, Bohdan and Myroslaw, and most recently, in 2000, her beloved husband and companion Wasyl. She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Ron (Dori), George (Rhonda); daughters, Anna, Mary and Olya (Chris); her adoring grandchildren, Angel, Susie, Rosie, Kyla, Traci, Harley, Tasia, Kyle, Steven, Marley and Alexa; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Drake. As well, she leaves to mourn her sister Darka (Michael) and family; her niece Vera (Olexander) and family, and nephew Volodymyr and family in Kiev. Panahyda will be sung 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 20 at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral, 115 McGregor St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 21 also at the Cathedral with Fr. V. Bashutskyy officiating.
