ALFRED POIRIER Peacefully, at the Carman Memorial Hospital, on Friday, February 16, 2007, Mr. Alfred Poirier of Haywood, MB passed away at the age of 80 years. He leaves to mourn his passing three children, Patricia Webb (Barry) of Winnipeg, Yvonne Bailey (Brent) of Portage la Prairie, Maurice Poirier of Haywood, and their mother Helen of Haywood. Also surviving are three granddaughters, Danielle, Laura and Emily, and numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Alfred was the last remaining family member of his generation. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph Poirier and Delvina (née Gagne); four brothers, Joseph, Wilfred, Cyril and Emile, and by four sisters, Albertine, Adele, Elizabeth and Rose. With respect for his wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the St. Denis Roman Catholic Church in Haywood, MB on Thursday, February 22, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Rosary at 1:30 p.m. Father Célestin Malengu Mubaya officiating. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, Box 2248 Station Main, Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9.
