STELLA PODAIMA October 24, 1911 February 20, 2007 Peacefully on Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at the Middlechurch Home, Stella died at the age of 95 years. Remaining to forever cherish Stella's memory are her children, Adolf and Joyce (Mel); grandchildren, Janet (Paul), Glenn (Catherine), Lynn (Timothy) and Shannon; great-grandchildren, Andrea, Kyle, Trevor, Jessie, James, Kristen, Quentin, Nicholas, Christopher; sisters, Domia and Jean. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph; son Ronald; brothers, Joe, Adolph, Mike and sister Ann. Stella was born in Broad Valley, Manitoba in 1911 to Anthony and Ageta Ruchka. In 1932 she married Joseph and together they farmed in the Zbaraz district. Mom did many things, sewing, handcrafts, catering, gardening, canning, haying and stooking as well as the daily chores. She loved to entertain and play bingo. When Joe passed away she moved to Winnipeg, where she made many friends. In 2005 due to failing health Stella moved to Middlechurch Home. In compliance with Stella's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held and a private family gathering will take place at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff of the Middlechurch Home for the kind and compassionate care Stella received there. Donations may be made in Stella's memory to a charity of one's choice.
