ROSALIA TIFFENBACH August 18, 1920 February 25, 2007 Rosie was born in Stead, Manitoba, the daughter of John and Amalia Zirk. She married Fred Tiffenbach of Niverville in 1940, where they farmed for 39 years. She worked side by side with her husband and always enjoyed her big garden, flowerbeds and when she wanted to relax she would bake - making the best homemade bread! Mom was a nurturing mother who taught her children and grandchildren her Christian faith. Dad and Mom sold the farm in Niverville and retired to Beausejour in 1979. When Dad lost his battle with cancer, Mom became a young widow in 1980. With much faith in God and determination she was able to live in her own home until October of 2006, when she was joyfully welcomed into Herb and Leona's home where they shared very special times. Her battle with cancer began in 1991 and at that time she also had to face the illness and loss of her youngest son Allen. She was a great example to all of her family and was definitely their pillar of strength, even up to her passing she shared with us how important it is to trust and love God. On Sunday afternoon she did not lose her battle, but gained her eternal victory. She was predeceased by her husband Fred, her first son Melvin, and her youngest son Allen, four brothers, Bill, Herman (Rose), Arthur and Edmund (Donna) Zirk, sisters, Lydia Fey (Henry), Olga (Paul) Otto and brother-in-law Robert Rach. She is survived by her son Gary, her daughter Leona (Herb) Weidman, grandchildren, Rhonda and Dan White (Brandon, Devin, Shayla); Kelly and Tracy Weidman (Kyle, Richelle); Barry and Corrine Weidman (Abby), brother Martin (Hilda) Zirk, sister Eleanor (Roy) Fiebelkorn and sisters-in-law Adella Zirk, Madge Zirk and families. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 1 at 1:30 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Beausejour, MB, with viewing prior to the service. Pastor Hugh Laidlaw will be officiating. Interment will follow at Beausejour Town Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends and family so desire, donations in Rose's memory may be made to Zion Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, Box 968, Beausejour, MB R0E 0C0, or CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. MY PRAYER Teach me to walk the narrow road Look up instead of down Think of the future, not the past And smile instead of frown Help me to love my fellow man Instead of gloom, spread cheer To live by faith and praise the Lord And know that you are near And when my life draws to a close I could not ask for more Then to be met by Jesus Christ On heavens golden shore Written by Rose Tiffenbach 1965 SOBERING FUNERAL CHAPEL CREMATORIUM, Beausejour 268-3510 or MB Toll Free 1-877-776-2220
