EMILY PREBOY (nee MITCHELL) With sadness we announce the passing of Emily on March 19, 2007, at St. Joseph's Residence, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Emily was born on July 4, 1913, in Outlook, Saskatchewan, and spent most of her married life with husband Andrew on a farm raising their family. Emily and Andrew retired to Oliver, BC (Okanagan Valley), in the early-1960s, with Emily moving on to Winnipeg in the mid-1990s after Andrew's passing. Emily was known for her beautiful handwork (quilts), her love of gardening and growing flowers. Emily was predeceased by her husband Andrew Joseph; daughters, Julia Pearl, Sylvia Helen; and son Kenneth. Emily is survived by her daughters, Judith (John Jakes) of Manotick, Ontario, Constance (Meredith Harding) of Quesnel B.C.; her daughter-in-law Carol Preboy of Winnipeg; six grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. Prayers will be held Wednesday evening, 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Home (1442 Main St.), and a private family service will be held on Thursday, March 22. Special thanks to the staff at St. Joseph's Residence for their wonderful care of Emily over the past several years.
