BARRY THOR THORSTEINSON October 17, 1935 - March 19,2007 It is with deep sorrow the family announces the passing of Barry on Monday, March 19, 2007. Barry's loving wife Deborah shares her loss and gift of everlasting memories with her two daughters, Dara Ford (Gary) and Sherisse and her son Richard Ristock. Barry is also survived by his daughter Beth Balsillie (Grant); and son Stefan (Audrey); sister Barb Johnson; and kid brother Roy. Afi will be missed by his seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. With the exception of a few years near the Arctic and six years in Ontario, Barry lived his full life in the greatest backyard of all: Manitoba. His love of fishing and golfing saw him making full use of every opportunity to go out and play. R. W. Bro Barry Thorsteinson was a very active Mason. When most people find themselves winding down, Barry was busier than ever. The Brethren of Capital Lodge No. 136 and the Grand Lodge of Manitoba have lost a brother, a past Grand Secretary and a good man. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 23 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Barry's memory to The Manitoba Masonic Foundation Masons Care Vans, 420 Corydon Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3L ON8. Barry may have passed to the Grand Lodge above, but shall live forever within each of us. Arrangements entrusted to: Chapel Lawn Funeral Home And Reception Centre 885-9715

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • My Uncle Barry for whom I was named was a jocular fella who would have Christmas at his home each and every year. My condolences go out to my cousins Stephan and Beth for their loss. I know this is a long time coming and for that I apologize. May your Father rest in peace. Cheers to him. Love Barry - Posted by: Barry Johnson (Nephew) on: Feb 20, 2014
