HOWARD LOYD PORTER Peacefully on Saturday, March 24, 2007, Howard Loyd Porter passed away at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 81 years. Howard was born June 1, 1925, in Dauphin, Manitoba. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War, serving as a Tailgunner. After the war he worked for the CNR until his retirement at the age of 57 years. He is survived by his wife Josephine; daughters, Darlene (John) Monkman and Lorna (Berent) Vledder; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother Don Porter. He was predeceased by his first wife Fern; daughter Linda; sister Ruth; brother Bob. No formal service will be held. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Health Sciences Centre for their care and kindness extended to Howard.
