ANDREW STANLEY POPIEL November 23, 1933 April 11, 2007 Andy passed away peacefully at Beausejour Hospital after a struggle with lung cancer. Mourning his loss are his son Douglas (Gail), their children, Jack, John-Andrew, Amber and Matthew, his daughter Gloria Nault, her children, Jeremy and Stephan, his sisters, Bernice (Walter Joss), Elizabeth (Emil Machinski) and Janet Shapkin, several nieces and nephews and the mother of his children Georgina Kolenich. Andy was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Stella, his brother Walter and his brother-in-law Jerry Shapkin. The family wishes to thank Dr. Garth Campbell, Erica Emes (Homecare Coordinator), nurses and staff at Beausejour Hospital and Stony Plains Terrace for helping Andy through the last part of his journey. Andy's children and grandchildren extend an invitation to family and friends to join us at his Memorial Service to celebrate his life on Saturday, April 21, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Russell Funeral Home, 437 Park Avenue West in Beausejour, MB.
