Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryADRIEN ABEL RAIMBAULT At the age of 81, Adrien passed away at home on May 3, 2007 in Victoria, BC. Adrien will be remembered by his wife of 60 years France, sons, Roger (Colleen), Denis (Diane), daughters, Simone and Monique (Annie), brother Rev. Eugene and sister Madeleine, grandchildren, Ginette (Mike), Daniel (Rhonda), Andree (Drew), Robert, Mylene (Stephane), Jess (Erin), Ryan, Deana, and great-grandchildren, Yann, Caleb, Taye, Philippe. Adrien was born in 1926 and spent most of his life in St. Boniface, MB. In his youth, Adrien was intensely devoted to the Scout movement where he made many dear and life-long friends. In 1945, he trained with the 22nd Regiment at Val Cartier, Quebec. He and France raised their family while he worked with his father, Pierre, in the family business. Adrien later worked in the insurance field and then for Barkman Concrete. He always found time in his busy schedule to bring his family camping, climbing, and canoeing. Adrien s faith defined him, and much of his life was centered on the joy he received from being of service to others, be they strangers, family members, neighbours, friends he would be there at the drop of a hat. He was known for his great sense of humour, generosity and untiring devotion to the creation of a better world. As the ultimate optimist he easily saw the good side of things. Adrien used his skills to contribute to La Caisse Populaire Credit Union, and became an active member of the Legion. He was also a dedicated and loyal member of the Les Chevaliers de Colomb, and served his local parish with great enthusiasm and commitment. Thank you to the Palliative Home Care Service of Victoria for providing exceptional care and attention, with a special kudo to Ulf for helping to make Adrien s final days as comfortable as possible. A memorial mass will be held at the St. Boniface Cathedral on Thursday, May 17 at 10:30 a.m.
