COREY DONALD RAPER June 29, 1987 - May 6, 2007 Corey Donald Raper was born June 29, 1987. The family is saddened to announce that he passed away May 6, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer that for us seemed too short, but for Corey himself, was too long. However, we do find comfort in announcing that he passed away peacefully in his sleep at home. He is survived by his parents, Brenda and Edward, his sister Chantal, and grandparents, Howard and Ethel Raper and Donald and Pauline Bolduc. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and wonderful friends. Corey was born and raised in Transcona, where he very quickly developed into his unique personality. After graduating from College Pierre-Elliott-Trudeau in 2006, he was honoured to be chosen to work the summer in Churchill and loved every minute of it, being surrounded by the polar bears was a life experience so he always said. Corey the storyteller always had and always will have a way of bringing comfort, making friends and family laugh, and making life more enjoyable. He will always be remembered as the comic, caring and fine looking young man that we all knew. Services will be held in the Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Ave W. on Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. A reception will follow afterwards at College Pierre-Elliott-Trudeau, 216 Redonda. We would like to thank all those who have been so helpful and supportive throughout these past enduring six months of hardship. In lieu of flowers, donations made to CancerCare would be preferred.
