LOIS POLLOCK 1941 2007 It is with great sadness that the family of Lois Luella Pollock (nee Kuntz) announces her passing at St. Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon on Monday, May 21, surrounded by their love. Lois is survived by her husband of 42 years Robert, son Ian (Barbara), daughters, Andrea Pollock (David Jadis) and Amanda (David) Borean, her beloved grandchildren, Zachary, Connor, Lauren, Jessica and Rachel, sister Donna (Don) Eppler, brother-in-law Don (Dianne) Pollock, nieces, nephews, and other cherished family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Leo and Hilda Kuntz, her father and mother-in-law, Herbert and Evelyn Pollock, nephew Steven Pollock, and nephew-in-law Paul Marrese. Lois was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on May 26, 1941 and spent her early years in Morris, Manitoba. She graduated from St. Boniface School of Nursing in 1964, and she and Robert were married later that year. They resided in Pinawa, Manitoba, Ottawa, Ontario, and since 1998, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She worked as a nurse in Winnipeg and Pinawa, and in public relations for Atomic Energy of Canada Limited in Pinawa. Lois was a talented, creative, and passionate person as an artist, a writer, a designer, a seamstress, a cook and a lover of animals. Most of all, she was a caring, compassionate and loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to all she met. She will be sadly missed by all. Her unconditional love for her family, her kindness, her unfailing optimism, and her inner strength to maintain all of this despite her health will be forever remembered, cherished and admired. Her family greatly appreciates the kind and supportive care from Dr. Agnes Powalinsky, and from all of the staff at St. Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon, Nightingale Nursing Group, and We Care Home Health Services who cared for her during her lengthy illness. The funeral will be held on May 25 at 2:00 p.m. at the Knox Presbyterian Church in Neepawa, Manitoba. In lieu of other tributes, donations in memory of Lois may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to White's Funeral Home in Neepawa, Manitoba.
