GLORIA MAY REBECK (nee MARTINSON) Peacefully on May 22, 2007 with her daughter by her side, Gloria passed away and is now with her beloved husband Wesley who predeceased her on November 29, 2001. Mom will be held close to the hearts and lovingly remembered by her children, son Dean (Dolores), daughter Debbie (Pat), son Rick (Jaye), and her sister Gayle. Gramma will be greatly missed but always remembered by her cherished grandchildren whom are the honourary pallbearers, Christopher, Jolene (Dave), Ashley, Michelle, great-granddaughter Taylor - Anne along with nieces Riki-Lyn and Jenny who called her Grantie. Special memories of Auntie GoGo are in the hearts of nieces and nephew Diana, Kerry, Dawn, Dolores and the extended Martinson family. Gloria also has a special place in the hearts of brothers-in-law, Raymond (Wendy), Mike and their families. Gloria was predeceased by her parents, Bill and Milly and brothers, Ken and Les. Gloria was born on September 3, 1938 and grew up in the East Kildonan area. On November 7, 1959 she married Wesley, 'the love of her life.' Shortly thereafter they started their family and settled in East St. Paul. Gloria enjoyed many aspects of life from teaching figure skating, watching her family play hockey and the many gatherings throughout the years with family and friends. She also had a loving nurturing way for all in need and this inspired everyone she knew. Mom always had a smile for you and it was her wonderful sense of humour that managed to carry us through even the most difficult times. The family expresses heart-felt thanks for the loving care provided by the staff of 3 East at Riverview Health Care Centre and also to the numerous care workers that attended to her. Memorial Service will be held on Monday, May 28, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation Manitoba Chapter, P.O. Box 1943, Winnipeg, MB R3C 3R2 or to a charity of your choice. To hear your voice, to see your smile To sit with you and talk awhile To be together in the same old way Would be our dearest wish today. Arrangements entrusted to: Glen Eden Funeral Home 4477 Main Street 338-7111
