ROBERT (BOB) EDWARD THOMAS Peacefully, after a short illness, Bob passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at the St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 59 years. Bob leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Burke and Drew, and their mother Bev (Gerry); his sister Linda; his father and mother-in-law Archie and Jean Weiss; sister-in-law Marlene Woltman; nephew Leigh; niece Stephanie, as well as many friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Mabel Thomas. After graduating from civil technology, Bob started in the construction industry in 1969. This inspired his sons to follow in his foot steps. Bob had a passion for every aspect of classic cars. His favourite Sunday pastime was watching a bunch of cars turning left (NASCAR). Bob was everything to everyone and will truly, deeply be missed. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff on 5E at the St. Boniface Hospital for their care and compassion. A celebration of Bob's life will be on Friday, June 8 at 10:00 a.m. at the Charleswood United Church, 4820 Roblin Blvd. A private family interment of the cremated remains will take place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 200 - 310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9.
