NEILLA PREMACHUK Neilla passed away June 5, 2007, at St. Paul's Personal Care Home (The Pas) at the age of 96. Neilla was born in the Ukraine and immigrated to Canada in the 1920s. Her husband Harry died in 1956, and she became a business woman who owned stored in The Pas, Lynn Lake, Pawistik, Brochet and a fly-in fishing lodge on Reindeer Lake. She also worked for Walt Disney, finding animals for their movies. In 2003 Neilla received the Order of Manitoba for her determination and enterprising spirit in northern Manitoba. She had a passion for traveling, Chinese food, baking, beading and gardening. She is survived by her son Evans (Mardene) of Kelowna; four granddaughters, Lynn Braun of Vancouver, Carol Steel (Cam) of Winnipeg, Lisa Gibb (Alan) of The Pas, Marla King (Dan) of Lilooet; and her brother Jerry Cutton (Mary) of Swan River. She is also survived by her nine great-grandchildren. Every time she saw them, her face would light up. A family service was held in The Pas on June 9, 2007.
