ALBERT POWIS Albert passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on Thursday July 7, 2007. Albert was born in Wales on November 8, 1921 and immigrated to Canada after the Second World War. He was predeceased by his grandson Todd in 1972; his daughter Suzanne in 1982 and his daughter Lynn in 1989. He is survived by his wife of 66 years Blanche; two sons, Edward and Patrick; two daughters, Georgeline and Margaret; a sister Evelynn; a brother-in-law Tom; three sons-in-law, Ron, Peter and David; one daughter-in-law Jeanette; 18 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Many thanks to Dr. Matthews, nurses and staff at George Hess Veterans Residence. A special thanks to the Art Director Mary for all her love and care. A service will be held at Chapel Lawn Cemetery on Thursday, July 12 at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Sunnybrook Foundation - Veterans Comfort Fund, 2075 Bayview Avenue, Room H332, Toronto, M4N 3M5.
