ROGER PHILIAS PRETEAU November 20, 1945 - July 23, 2007 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Roger Preteau on Monday, July 23, 2007. Roger was predeceased by his father Alphonse and his brother Claude. Roger leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife Judy and their children: Lisa (Greg), Mona, Charles (Mary), Dean (Angela); grandchildren: Schae, Damon, Ky, Mathew, Alyssa and Janna; his mother Leona and his siblings: Louise (Dick), Edmee (Roy), Diane (Tom), Richard (Shirlee), Guy (Jocelyne), Reynald (Alida), as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Born to Leona and Alphonse Preteau on November 20, 1945, Roger grew up in Vassar and married Judy Cayer on June 22, 1968. They started their home in Winnipeg before settling in Vassar. Roger had several outdoor hobbies he loved to do but his heart was the happiest watching his children play baseball and hockey, and spending time with his grandchildren. The family would like to thank the Vita ambulance attendants, ER staff at the Roseau Area Hospital, Corporal Ken Mantie of the Sprague RCMP, Helgeson Funeral Chapel and the family and friends that came to help him. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 27, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at the Vassar Sacred Heart Church with a reception to follow at the Vassar Hall.
