ARTHUR BEATTIE PURVES November 1, 1906 - July 29, 2007 He passed away peacefully with his family at his side. He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Mary Lemon (Cal) and by his son, Ross Purves (Diana); grandchildren, Sandra and Brian (Vanessa) and great-grandchildren, Levi and Ariele. He will also be missed by his sister, Ethel Dewar and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Edith in 1977 and his second wife Beth in 1998. He was blessed with two great wives, many friends and enjoyed many travels around the world. Arthur worked for Stanley Brock until his retirement to Victoria where he enjoyed golf. Arthur was a great friend to those who knew him and was a great family man. He had a positive mental attitude and thought well of others. Arthur was a member of the Victoria Golf Club and the Union Club of Victoria. Thank you to all the wonderful staff at Douglas House who lovingly cared for Arthur the past 2½ years. There will be a Graveside Service at the Royal Oak Burial Park on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations may be made to the Charity of your choice.
