CHRISTOPHER PAUL RANKIN November 28, 1947 - August 3, 2007 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Chris Rankin of Stony Plain, AB, formerly of Gimli, MB, at the age of 59 years. Chris passed away peacefully at his home following a short battle with cancer. Chris is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 27 years, Judy; his two children, Tina Marie (Stephen) MacAusland and Sean (Beverly) Rankin; his grandchildren: Tessa, Kole and Gavin MacAusland; his mother Margaret Rankin; his nephew Randy Hrycyna as well as his brotherhood of co-workers at Ledcor in Fort McMurray. Chris was a truly dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, son and friend. He was predeceased by his father, Fred. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 10 at 2:00 p.m. from Parkland Funeral Chapel, 3502-44 Avenue, Stony Plain, AB. All those attending will be invited to share a short story about Chris during the service, if they wish to.
