DELANN MARIE PREWEDA (nee VOURIOT) Peacefully on August 16, 2007 Delann Preweda passed away at the Victoria Hospital at the age of 60. Delann was predeceased by her father in 1970 and leaves to mourn her husband of 17 years Lawrence; mother Verniece; brother Vern of Ottawa and numerous aunts, cousins and nieces. Delann was born June 24, 1947 and was raised in Fort Garry, attended St. Maurice School and St. Mary's Academy. Delann's work career included positions with the Royal Bank, City Corp. and the Province of Manitoba. She owned Superior Driving Academy and was an instructor for 20 years. Delann and her husband enjoyed operating Cozy Cove Bed and Breakfast out of their home. Delann was also a Marriage Commissioner. Central to Delann's life were family and friends. She was beloved by those lives she touched. She was kind, compassionate and always there for her family and friends in time of need. She treasured her long time friends Bob and Maria Anderson, John Blandford, Adele Fortin (nee Gabor), Cherrlyn Thomson and Lesley Hughes (nee Foster). Lesley and Delann could be seen every Saturday morning roaming St. Vital looking for garage sales. Delann loved decorating her home, working in the garden, but most of all adored her pets. Delann would also care for any animal that had the good fortune to cross her path. Delann shared her love for snorkeling and scuba diving and travel with her husband. She was proud of her native ancestry and cherished her Indian Treaty Status. She was the great-granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Lagimodiere and his first wife Josette Cree. Thanks to the staff at Victoria Hospital for the compassion, care and kindness. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, August 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street with Rev.
