Remaining to forever cherish Catherine's memory are her daughters, Elsie (Kenneth) Derendorf and Irene (Howard) Glad; grandchildren, Kelly (Karen), Todd (Nadine), Brad (Nicole), Jason (Cynthia), David (Sarah); great-grandchildren, Jillian, Madeleine, Victoria, Thomas, Evan, Aaron, Hannah, Emma, Graham, Daniel, Macey, Jack, Ben and Maggie; as well as her sister Effie; son-in-law George; and grandson's wife Corrine. Catherine was predeceased by her husband Steve on December 25, 1981; daughters, Anne and Mary; son Nicholas; grandson Brent; great-granddaughter Catherine and great-grandson Patrick. Mother grew up in Parkerview, SK, and later moved to Yorkton, SK. In November 1986 she relocated to Winnipeg, residing at Hamilton House until her move to Holy Family Nursing Home July 2006. Catherine's greatest joys were her family, church and friends. Family visits were special, these took her to places namely Williams Lake, BC, San Francisco, New York, Rhode Island, Chicago, Washington, DC, Pennsylvania and Minneapolis. She loved her crafts, beadwork, cross-stitch, for these she won many prize ribbons. Special thanks to Dr. Terry Babick and Holy Family Nursing Home staff (2A) who with great love and compassion cared for our mother. Prayers will be said on Sunday, September 2 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, September 3 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Basil the Great Ukrainian Catholic Church, 202 Harcourt Street, with Rev. Fr. Ernie Hafichuk and Rev. Fr.
