ALEX POSTMA February 26, 1946 - August 29, 2007 Our beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away after a very short, intense battle with cancer. Al leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memory his wife Sharon who shared 42 years of marriage; his son Darrin, his favourite daughter-in-law Michelle and grandson Alex; his son Trevor; his son Jason and grandchildren Kayla and Jadan; his brother-in-law Jake, Marian (niece), great-niece Amanda (Rob) and great-great-nephew and niece Ashton and Gabriele, his niece Megan (Brian) and children Marina and Myles. Al spent over 38 years at CNR Symington and Transcona, six years at Action Auto and a short time at Gauthier Dodge with Andy Dubois. Al's wonderful characteristics won him many wonderful friends. He'll be missed by many but loved by all. Thank you to St. Boniface Hospital E.R., CancerCare and the fifth floor East staff. Thank you to those special people (you know who you are) who showed they cared. Cremation to follow. Arrangements made by Transcona Funeral Chapel. An informal gathering of friends will be held at the family home between 4:00 and 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 4. Please come and join the family in remembrance of Al. In lieu of flowers, make donations to St. Boniface CancerCare or to a favourite charity.
