JOHN WILLIAM (JACK) TITTERTON February 5, 1925 - September 1, 2007 With great sadness, we announce that Jack passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer at Stonewall Hospital. Jack was born in Alonsa, Manitoba and was a lifelong Manitoba resident. During the war, Jack served with the Royal Canadian Navy aboard the HMCS Levis. After discharge, Jack joined Air Canada serving for 35 years as an avionics technician. After retiring in 1981, Jack and his wife, Gerry moved to Sandy Hook, Manitoba for many happy years. As health failed, they moved to Stonewall, Manitoba in 2004 where Jack and Gerry lived in the Lion's Manor. Jack will be sadly missed by his wife, Gerry of 62 years. Also left to mourn are his daughter Patricia Wojcik (Rick); son, Douglas (Carolyn) and son Murray (Terry), four granddaughters, Lorelle Furst (Jason), Stacey, Ashley and Alyssa and grandson, David and two great-grandchildren, Zoe and Hayden. Jack is also survived by his sister, Irene Husband (Freeman) and brother, Murray (Birdene). The family wishes to thank all the special doctors, nurses, paramedics and staff at the Stonewall Hospital. Special thanks to Dr. James Boyd and Dr. Jack Lezak for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3E 9Z9.
