FREDERICK (FRED) THOMAS GORDON NEVILLE POPPA 1923 - 2007 Frederick (Fred) Thomas Gordon Poppa Neville of Sidney, BC, passed away peacefully at the Victoria General Hospital on Friday, August 31, 2007, at the age of 84 years. Fred was born in Winnipeg, MB, on July 12, 1923. He was a talented entrepreneur, founding many businesses in his lifetime, most notably Westglen Homes, Fred Neville Homes Ltd., and Save-On Shirts. He was able to celebrate the birth of his eighth great-grandchild on August 16, 2007. Fred is survived by two daughters, Joan King (John Cattle) and Janice (Sid) Burnett; seven grandchildren who delighted him, Craig Burnett (Cora Van Barneveld), Marnie (George) Ballane, Mike (Sheila) King, Kevin King, Jennifer (John) Mckay, Mike (Jasmine) Cattle, and Kathryn (Sean) Hill; as well as eight great-grandchildren who amazed him. He also leaves behind his devoted and cherished friend, Doreen Gould; sister, Dorothy Vinette of Winnipeg, MB; two brothers, Barry of Toronto, ON, and Stanley of California; greatly treasured nieces and nephews; and numerous friends, who will remember his excellent sense of humour and memories of good times. Fred has gone to join his beloved wife, Kathleen, who predeceased him two years ago. He was also predeceased by two sisters, Vivian Aire and Lillian Seaton; and two brothers, Reg and Doug Neville. Fred's wish was to make someone laugh each day. In memory of this, please do so in your own lives and live each day to the fullest.
