Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWALTER (WALLY) HAROLD POLLICK It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of our beloved Husband, Father, GiGi, and friend, Walter, at the age of 76, on September 8, 2007. Walter leaves to mourn his passing and to cherish his memory, his wife of 56 years, Sophie; his son David (Kathy); daughters, Teresa, Darlene (Bob); grandchildren, Justin, Nathan, Amanda, Mathew, Mitchell, Caitlin, McKenzie; and very special friends, Dave Wallace, Jane Moses and Harvey Dann. Walter was born in Winnipeg. At a young age he moved to Kelwood, MB, where his fondest childhood memories were shared with his Uncle Chris and Auntie Jean. Walter was employed at CP Rail for 42 and one half years, and retired as the Supervisor of the CWR Plant and Rail Yard. Walter was an avid Hunter and Fisherman who appreciated and respected nature. He loved to be outdoors, spending countless hours tending to his beautiful yard and his plentiful garden. After retirement Wally took up golfing and spent many enjoyable hours out on the greens. His family is blessed that he was always willing to teach and share these passions with them. Above all Dad loved and cherished his family. He always enjoyed family gatherings and barbeque's where he was king of the grill. His ultimate joy in life was his seven grand-children. Dad had a sincere interest in them and would always attend hockey and soccer games, Christmas and band concerts. Gigi was always eager to take the time to teach his grandchildren, whether it was to drive a car, build, fish, hunt, garden, golf or to share a story from his past. Walter will be remembered for his endless love and devotion to his family, his hard work ethic, his love for animals, outdoor expertise; and the pride he took in his yard and gardens. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to both the staff at CancerCare Manitoba and 3 East, River View Health Centre. Memorial donations may be made in Walters's memory to the Riverview Health Centre Palliative Care Unit, in care of Riverview Health Centre Foundation, 1 Morley Ave., R3L 2P4. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, with interment to follow. Goodbye my family, my life has passed. I loved you all to the very last, weep not for me but courage take, always continue to love each other, for my sake, for those you love don't go away. They walk beside you every day. Rest in Peace Arrangements Entrusted To: Glen Eden Funeral Home 4477 Main Street 338-7111
