Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIE BERNADINE BEDFORD (nee MONDOR) It is with great heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother on September 18, 2007 at Health Sciences Centre with family by her side. Bernadine will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Dianne (Peter Van Went), son George (Carol), grandchildren, Lisa (Bradley), Lyall (Gail), Kimberly and Janet, five great- grandchildren and two great-great-grand-children. Her sister Hentiette Harland, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Bernadine was predeceased by her husband William John (Bill) in 1975, great-grandson, Daulton in 1995, her parents, Joseph and Clara Mondor, eight brothers and four sisters. Mom was born in Dunrea, MB in 1916, moving to Pilot Mound with her family at an early age. She worked at the Queens Hotel in Pilot Mound until her marriage in 1942, moving to Kirkland Lake, ON, where Dad was employed in the mines. They returned to live in Pilot Mound in 1945. Mom was mostly a stay at home mom, but returned to work at the Queens Hotel after she raised her family. In 1977, she left Pilot Mound to move to Winnipeg where she spent her remaining years. Mom remained active with the church and loved her time with family and friends. She loved to go to exercise class, Bingo and Block activities. She loved life and was so very proud to be the matriarch of five generations. A memorial service will be held in her honour on Friday, September 21, 2007 at 9:30 a.m. at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or Canadian Diabetes Association. The family would like to thank the nurses, doctors and staff of 4GD at Health Sciences Centre and the Grace Hospital for their compassionate care of our mother. Interment will take place on Saturday, September 22, 2007 at Pilot Mound Cemetery. THOMSON FUNERAL HOME 669 Broadway - 783-7211 www.thomsonfuneralhome.com
