SR. EILEEN BURNETT A memorial service for Eileen Burnett, Sister of Holy Cross, will be held at the East Gate Lodge Chapel in Beausejour on Friday, October 12, 2007 at 10:00 a. m. Eileen's teaching career of some 35 years was varied and interesting. She taught in the elementary grades as well as in high school. Her proficiency, knowledge, and creativity kept her pupils ready to learn. She was a member of the Canadian Author's Association in Winnipeg. In total Eileen has published four books of poetry and prose and one book of stories. She received many awards and prizes for her writing and photography. She is lovingly remembered by her four sisters in British Columbia, as well as her religious companions in the Sisters of Holy Cross and her many friends. Deep felt gratitude goes out to the staff of Stoney Plains Terrace and of East Gate Lodge in Beausejour for the outstanding care given to Eileen. A funeral service and the burial of her ashes will take place in Edmonton, Alberta. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
