ROBERT T. SANDERSON SR. February 29, 1936 - October 11, 2007 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Bob (Don) Sanderson on October 11, 2007 in the Brandon Regional Hospital at the age of 71. Bob was predeceased by his parents, Vina and Oliver Sanderson, his sister Hazel, his brother Alvin and his great-granddaughter Mya. He will be remembered by his wife of 50 years, Margaret, his children, Rob (Kathy), Randy, Darcia, Brock (Tracy), Brad (Julie), Melonie and Deugan (Carrie), eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, his sister Sharon (Hank) and numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was born in Portage la Prairie; and at the age of 17 joined the Canadian Air Forces. After three years in the Air Force, Bob spent several years in construction throughout Western and Northern Canada before settling into his favored trade as a Boilermaker in 1968. Bob loved his work and also spent many years tending his garden in Starbuck. The family would like to thank the staff at the Assiniboine Center and especially Dr. Vlok in Brandon for their care and dedication over this past year. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family memorial of his life will be held at a later date. He loved and was loved
