JIM BROWTON After a courageous battle with cancer Jim Browton passed away at the Melita Health Centre, November 2, 2007 at the age of 59 years. Jim is survived by his wife Val; mother Joan; brother Frank (Sharon) of Pierson, MB; niece Tara (Dave) and their children, Evan and Emily of Landmark, MB; nephew Brent of Winnipeg, MB and Jim's extended family, Chris (Kiasty) of Brisbane, Australia and Kerry (Tracy) and their children, Sophia, Chloe and Logan of Abbotsford, BC, plus numerous cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his father Arthur Shuff in 2002. Jim was born in Pierson, MB March 26, 1948 and lived on the family farm until deciding to leave - going to Winnipeg. After working at various jobs he decided long distance truck driving was his calling. He worked for Kleysens Transport for many years and was working for Arnold Bros. Transport in Winnipeg when his health problems began. Retirement came early and after moving back to Pierson, Jim enjoyed the quiet life. He loved working on the yard and of course having coffee at the local coffee shop with everyone. Funeral services will be held at the Pierson United Church, November 7, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Mark Satterly officiating. Interment at the Pierson Cemetery.
