WILLIAM PORTH April 8, 1926 November 1, 2007 It is with deep sadness that our family announces the peaceful passing of our father, grandfather and great-grandfather William Porth. He leaves to mourn his passing Gladys the mother of his children. His children Lyle, Terry (Kelly), Bev, Barry (Maureen), Marilyn (Leo), Harley (Annette), Dean (Janet), Tim (Lori), Les (Cindy), Lois, 21 grandchildren and 20 great- grandchildren. Dad was born and raised on Lake Winnipeg. He spent over 60 years as a commercial fisherman and trapper, leaving only to work as a heavy equipment operator during the off-season. Dad enjoyed angling and spending time at his camp in Frog Bay, MB. He also enjoyed playing cribbage; if you had money to lose he was always there to take it from you. He is also survived by his sister Margaret Forbister, his sister-in-law Evelyn Porth, daughter-in-law Pamela, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. His special friends Shirley Isfeld and Lawrence Johnson. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Jesse Porth, brother Jack and brother-in-law Tache Forbister. Our family would like to thank Dr. Bhanot and the nursing staff on the fifth floor at Seven Oaks Hospital. Our special thanks to Kelly, for her thoughtfulness and caring. In keeping with dad's wishes, cremation has taken place. His final rest will be in Riverton, MB, alongside his parents and brother. Forever in our hearts, Your loving family.
