ROGER POIRIER Roger passed away with his daughter by his side November 8, 2007 at the age of 61. Roger is sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his daughter, Alexis Poirier; son: Marc (Kristen) Poirier; sister, Jacqueline (Louis) Corbeil; brother, Jean-Pierre Poirier, and four nephews: Marcel, Gilles, Jean-Paul and Daniel Corbeil. He was sadly predeceased by his parents: Hector and Alice Poirier. Roger was born in Winnipeg and later traveled through Western Canada to settle in Penticton in 1998. He had many friends who cared deeply for him and was a caring father. He will be dearly missed for his entertaining stories. The family wishes to express their gratitude and thanks to Dr. Toneff for his care and support, as well as the nurses and staff at Moog and Friends Hospice House. Special thanks as well to his great friends in Penticton. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to either Moog Friends Hospice House, 1701 Government Street, Penticton BC, V2A 8J7 or to a charity of your choice. There will be no funeral. A celebration of his life will follow next summer when his ashes will be taken to Manitoba. Arrangements have been entrusted to Parkview Funeral Home.
