SARAH TOOGOOD It is with the greatest of sadness that we announce the passing of Sarah Toogood. After a long and courageous battle with cancer she passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2007. She is survived by her sons Bob; wife Jeanie and Ted; wife Jennifer and Sarah's six grandchildren; Jayne, Jennifer, Julianne, Michael, Dawn; husband Curt, Ian; wife Erin and two great-grandchildren Scarlett and Mackenzie. Sarah grew up in Mozart, Saskatchewan, with her brothers Charles, John and Jerry and sisters Lilian, Clara and Rema, later moving to Winnipeg where she happily lived with her husband Maurice who preceded her in 1980. Sarah enjoyed her work and colleagues at the Manitoba Public Insurance Corporation where she retired from as Senior Insurance Underwriter. Active is a word that best describes her. Whether she was on winter vacations in Pinnacle Port, Florida with long time friend Jim Shawcross or playing golf with her dear friends at St. Boniface Golf Course, where she was a Past President or curling, bowling or evenings of bingo at the Legion or playing crib at Lindenwood Manor; she enjoyed every activity and loved the people she was with. Family and friends meant everything to Sarah and she would want to thank you for being her source of strength as she battled with cancer over the last 15 years. The support from the Palliative Care Program and the staff and residents of Lindenwood Manor did not go unnoticed. Their visits always brought a smile to her face and a twinkle to her eye. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, November 23, 2007 at 2 o'clock in the Heritage Room, Heritage Entrance, of Lindenwood Manor, 475 Lindenwood Dr. E. Those wishing to make a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society at 193 Sherbrook St., R3C 2B7 in Sarah's name or the charity of their choice are welcome to do so.
