MENNO TOEWS On November 18, 2007 at the Bethesda Hospital, Menno Toews was carried Home in the loving arms of his Savior. Menno was blessed with 86 years of abundant life which were marked by love to those around him, devotion to his family, and an unwavering faith in his Savior and Friend, Jesus Christ. Menno loved life and all it had to offer. He reveled in the glory and splendor that his God had created. Growing up in rural Manitoba, Menno discovered a mechanical aptitude which gave him the opportunity to serve others as an auto mechanic and the ability to delight his family and friends with creative mechanical inventions. Blessed with an infectious sense of humor, Menno turned frequent fishing trips, family holidays, and times with friends into fun-filled and cherished memories. Menno had a passion to help and serve those around him. He could always be counted on in times of need, and he prayed fervently for the spiritual condition and well-being of his friends and family. Acutely tuned to the suffering he saw in the world, Menno gave in excess to missions and global relief organizations. Menno's life of conviction and moral integrity was, and still is, a powerful role-model to anyone who met him. Menno was predeceased by his first wife, Margaret (Neufeld), and is survived by his second wife, Agnes (Reinke) and his children - Walter Toews, Norman Toews, Vern Toews, Ruth Duddridge, three stepdaughters, and their families. A funeral service in honour of Menno will be held Thursday, November 22 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fourth Avenue Bible Church, 62 4th Ave. S., Niverville, MB. There will be viewing prior to the service. Interment at Niverville Heritage Cemetery. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith 2 Timothy 4:7.
