Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHARLES DONOVAN PRUDEN it is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather and great-grandfather on Friday, November 23, 2007. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. where Dad will join his wife Mary in their eternal resting place at old St. Andrews on the Red. Dad was born in Popular Park, MB, on July 16, 1925, and married the love of his life Mary on September 4, 1948. Dad was a journeyman pipefitter and devoted member of Local 254 for over 50 years. He worked across Canada and the United States. He was an honorable man who constantly instilled in his family the virtues of love, integrity, honesty and respect. Dad's pride and joy was his three daughters, Sharon, Diane (Peter), and April (Pidge); and his eight grandchildren, Angie (Brent), Jason, Adam (Jocylin), Matthew, Tiffany, TJ, Andrew and Amy; and his five great-grandchildren, Kaleigh, Joey, Brady, Ember, and Charlie. Dad and mom loved their place at Patricia Beach and in their retirement years spent many summers there. Dad is survived by one sister Nina Sigurdson, one brother Leask (Barbara) Pruden, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Dad was predeceased by his wife Mary, his parents, and seven brothers and five sisters. Dad was a big robust man with a kind, gentle and generous heart. This world will never be the same since you left us and we will meet again some sunny day. You are now in the arms of the Lord forever. Bye for now, Dad. We love you so very much and we will miss you always. If family and friends so desire, donations may be made in Charles' name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association. The family would like to thank the caring and thoughtful staff of Concordia Place and Concordia Hospital. I'm Free Don't grieve for me for now I'm free I'm following the path God laid for me I took His hand when I heard Him call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, To laugh, to work or play; Tasks left undone must stay that way, I found peace at the close of the day. If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy; A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Ah, yes these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with time of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow; My life's been full, I savored much, Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch; Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, Don't lengthen it now with undue grief; Lift up your heart and share it with me, God wanted me now, He set me free!
