POITRAS It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Dad, Lawrence, on Sunday, December 23, 2007 at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 94 years. Lawrence is survived by his wife Yvonne (nee Thorimbert); his children, Bernice, Lorraine (Michael Nicoll-Griffith), Ronald (Louise Dorge) and Claudette; five grandchildren, Marc (Kim), Paul (Michèle), Marie-Noëlle (Martin), Nicole (André) and Guy (Claudia); seven great-grandchildren, Laurence, Sandrine, Sabrina, Marianne, Gaële, Audrey and Laurent; brother Fern and niece Pamela Heinrichs; sister-in-law Alice (René and their family) Grenier, brother-in-law Auguste (Marie and their family) Thorimbert, as well as his close friends Jeanne d'Arc, Kathleen and Nicole. The family would like to thank the staff at Taché Centre for their loving care of our Dad. Prayers will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 DesMeurons St., with viewing at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 28, at the St. Vital Catholic Church, 1629 Pembina Hwy. at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Développement et Paix 5633 rue Sherbrooke Est, Montréal, QC H1N 1A3.
