ALMA CORNWELL-LAWLESS April 23, 1910 - January 14, 2008 Alma, formerly of Winnipeg, passed away in Regina, SK at the age of 97. Predeceased by her husbands Oliver (Cornie) Cornwell and Frank Lawless, her parents Beatrice and Ira White and her brothers Bus, Buster and Jack. Alma will be greatly missed by her several nieces and nephews as well as the Frank Lawless family and her many dear friends. Alma was born and raised in Saskatchewan, her parents homesteaded in the Expanse area. After attending Normal School in Moose Jaw she taught for a few years and married Oliver Cornwell. Alma and Cornie spent most of their 57 years together in Winnipeg. After Cornie's death in 1991, while living in Westhaven Retirement Home, Alma met and married Frank Lawless on September 26, 1996. Frank passed away on December 19, 2002. Alma was a classy lady with a great sense of humour and always had a kind and encouraging word for everyone. Her love for flowers was always satisfied by her husbands who kept a bouquet on her coffee table. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with an interment and reception will follow. CHAPEL LAWN 885-9715
