ROY BRIAN QUESNEL January 13, 1938 - February 6, 2008 Roy lived a life full of music, photography, close fellowship and friends. He loved to laugh and will be remembered for his twinkling eyes. Born in Winnipeg, he liked to share stories of his early years with his parents and brother Walton growing up at Long Lake, Manitoba. He spent many years in and around Winnipeg before moving to Vancouver Island in the mid-eighties. Here he continued to gather friends and family who are deeply saddened by his passing. His children, Royce, Sheena, Chris and Andy and all his grandchildren in Manitoba survive Roy. He will be missed by his dear friends, Pat and Bev Waller, Virden, his lunch buddy Maurice, and all his special friends. He will also be missed by his loving partner Mary Jo Arnold, his cherished stepdaughter Allison Champagne, her husband Fred and their children, Miranda, Tyler and Ashley. A founding member of the Harbor City Photography Club Roy served for many years as the club Print Chair. He was a man of many interests and hobbies and embraced life with a passion. But when the physical costs of living became too great he graciously conceded the battle. A Celebration of Roy's life will be held at the German Canadian Club in Nanaimo on March 22 at 3:00 p.m. Cremation by request.
