AASE NINN POULSEN Peacefully and with dignity at the age of 75, Mom passed away February 29, 2008 at the Grace Hospital. Mom was predeceased by her husband Fred in 1998; her brother Borge in 1978; her father Anders in 1961 and her mother Jenny in 1991. Mom is survived by her daughter Grethe (Gary) and her sons; Glenn and Jim (Michele) her precious grandchildren; Matthew and Meagan as well as her three sisters in Denmark, Vera, Elma and Erna and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was born on May 12, 1932, in Vejen, Denmark. She married Dad in 1955 and shortly thereafter moved to Canada. They first lived in Virden, then Brandon and later moved to Winnipeg. Family meant everything to Mom. She always cared about our well-being and she was especially proud of Matthew and Meagan. She enjoyed her new home at Glendale Court along with all the new friends she made there. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Special thanks to the Grace Hospital Emergency staff, to the staff of the Intensive care unit and the 3 North staff for their care and compassion.
