KEN POPKES March 25, 1938 - March 18, 2008 On March 18, 2008, Dad passed away at Boundary Trails Hospital after a lengthy illness. Dad will be greatly missed by his wife Susan, his children, Lelita, Trevor, Declan, Heather, Eleanor and Konrad (Annette), his brother Doug (Joan), mother-in-law Anne Giesbrecht, and his grandchildren, Dillon, Amy, Zachary and Brett. He will also be missed by his brothers-in-law, Rendal, (Merrilee), Elmer (Marielle), Leonard (Carol), Melvin (Chris); sisters-in-law, Hanna (Bernie), Lenora (Jim), Stella (Warren), and numerous nieces and nephews. Ken was born in Miami on March 25, 1938. He lived his life on the farm by Rosebank where he farmed since 1963. He lived his life true to his heart and led us by example with his quiet strength, sense of humour and unconditional love. He has given us a lifetime of wonderful memories that we will cherish forever. He was an active and dedicated member of the community and church where his tireless efforts were respected and appreciated. The family wishes to thank the staff at Boundary Trails Hospital for their compassionate care throughout his illness and the members of the community who helped our family through this difficult time. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 20 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul's United Church in Morden. Friends are invited to sing in the community choir. Interment in Miami Cemetery to follow the lunch. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Boundary Trails Hospital Centre, Palliative Care Foundation, P.O.
