Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPATRICIA O'CONNELL Born April 18, 1916 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Aunt Pat passed away peacefully on March 9, 2008, following a recent illness. She is predeceased by eight brothers and four sisters. Survived by her brother Terry in Winnipeg, many nieces and nephews and their children in BC, Manitoba and the US. For over fifty years she lived in her beloved Vancouver's West End; where she established friendships with many like minded and warm hearted friends. She was a sweet lady of genuine intent. She had a close relationship with her sister Rosemary, brother-in-law Maurice and their six children. She was always within easy reach with a helping hand and attentive ear. Her piano playing and singing brought joy and comfort to many. Aunt Pat was very proud of her Irish roots. She expressed her Celtic Heritage on St. Patrick's Day with shamrocks and the wearing of the green. Her loss will be greatly felt by the O'Connell's, the Kavanagh's and many friends. Her zest for life was a true inspiration. Thank you for being there, Aunt Pat. We love you dearly and we will miss you. Her family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Chalmer's Residence and at VGH/Banfield for their compassion and care. No service, by request. God Luv Ya
