JUNE BEAUDRY (nee SPEARS) June 25, 1929 - March 25, 2008 Peacefully, in the early morning hours at St. Boniface Hospital with husband Henri and daughter Anne at her side, Mom left us to join her beloved daughter Alice. After battling Cancer for 39 years her very big heart gave out. Left to cherish her memories are Henri, her most devoted loving husband of 51 years, daughter Irene Smith, son Paul Beaudry (Debbie), and daughter Anne Watson (Wayne). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Raymond, Robert, Pamela, and Holly Smith and Jonathan and Marlee Watson, and her sisters, Fran Spears and Betty Wilson. As well as her family she also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and good friends. She was predeceased by her mother Alma Spears, daughter Alice Beaudry, and sister Jean Jones. Mom loved spending time with her family and we are left with many happy memories. As a family of six we started travelling with a tent, upgrading as the children grew. Every summer we went on a trip somewhere. As we grew and had children of our own, Mom, Dad and Rocky always took the boat for a test drive at the lake before we went fishing. We all knew it wasn't because they had to but because it was time alone for them while the grandchildren made noise on shore. Even though Mom was terrified of water she loved being on the boat with her fishing rod catching the biggest fish. As we grew and started on our own paths Mom and Dad upgraded to the largest RV they were to have. In it, besides trips with their children and grandchildren they began to explore. From Newfoundland to Vancouver Island, from Alaska to the Southern States, if it was driveable they went. Her favourite trip though was Alaska and they went many times. When winter came they became snowbirds and off to Mesa they went. They enjoyed many winters down there and made many friends. Being alone with Dad in their RV travelling was Mom's favourite thing to do. We would like to extend our most heartfelt thanks to Dr. Humphreys and Nursing Staff at St. Boniface Hospital, 5th Floor, Unit B for the wonderful dedicated compassion and care given to Mom. Our words will never be able to express the gratitude we feel. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of June's life will be held on Friday, March 28 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home followed by interment, with Father Léo Couture officiating. After the interment a gathering of friends will take place in the reception room at Green Acres. Patricia and Lionel Vermette will be our mother's urn bearers. Mom, Grandma, sister, aunty and friend.... we love you and will think of you often In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.
