OLGA HELEN PUSHKA December 3, 1924 - March 29, 2008 On March 29, 2008, our beloved mother and grandmother, Olga Pushka, passed away at the Holy Family Nursing Home at the age of 83. Olga was predeceased by her husband John, son John, parents Stephen and Pauline Czornobay, brothers Peter, Joseph, William and sister Carrie Barnes. She leaves to cherish her memory daughter Gail (Lawrence) Cherpako, grandson Lawson Cherpako, sister Mary Tataryn, numerous nieces and nephews. Olga will be greatly missed by all the lives she touched so lovingly. Her many years at Safeway gifted her with numerous friends. Olga's greatest joys in life were her family and friends. She loved to travel, cook, entertain and spend time gardening. Now you leave us, but your memory lives on. The family wishes to extend their appreciation to the loving care and support from the Holy Family Nursing Home. Prayers will be held Tuesday, April 1, 2008 (this evening), at 6:30 p.m. at Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. Mass to be held Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 400 Day Street, with Father Michael Krochak officiating. Interment to follow at Bird's Hill Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Holy Family Nursing Home. Vichnaya Pam'yat Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
