AGNES NANCY BEGGS (GRANNY) Peacefully on April 25, 2008 Agnes Beggs passed away at the age of 97 years. Agnes, Granny or Granny Grunts to her many children was known by many and loved by all. Agnes was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland on January 31, 1911. She was predeceased by her parents, Agnes Jane and William Harvey; sister Elizabeth, and brother Hugh. Agnes at a young age was the widow of Robert Robinson and later the widow of Thomas Beggs. Agnes is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Curry of N. Ireland; son Wilbert (Lily) Robinson of N. Ireland; daughter Elizabeth (Cliff) Havercost; grandsons, Trevor and Terry (Leah) Willerton; granddaughters, Angela Curry and Kathleen (Thomas) of N. Ireland, and Crystal (Shane) Hanson. Granny was also blessed with two great grandchildren, Ireland Elizabeth Marie Willerton and Dylan Rae William Hanson. Granny is also survived by numerous family members and friends. Granny enjoyed a career in nursing in Northern Ireland. Upon coming to Canada on July 5, 1955 she continued to work helping the elderly with her nursing. She also enjoyed and was active in Rosedale United Church, where she taught many children in the Sunday School Program. Granny made many friends at Chesley's Campground where she enjoyed many pleasant and happy days with her two grandsons, Trevor and Terry. The family would like to express there sincere appreciation to the doctors and staff of the Victoria General Hospital and especially the Golden Door Nursing Home for their wonderful care and support over Granny's last few years. Memorial service 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street. In lieu of flowers, Granny's wishes were that you would make a donation to a charity of choice.
