EILEEN FRANCES PRUS August 12, 1924 - April 27, 2008 It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Eileen Frances Prus (nee Pielow) on Sunday, April 27, 2008 at Heritage Lodge Personal Care Home. Eileen was the beloved mother of sons: Bob (Deb) Orton; Rick (Colleen) Orton and Allen (Lori) Orton. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Robert and Jennifer; Carita (Thomas) and Barry (Christina) of Ramsey, Minnesota; Gary and Vicky (Kelly). Eileen is also survived by her brother-in-law Edward Schaill; nephew Daniel Schaill and family; Kelly and family; all of Wisconsin. Eileen was predeceased by her husband, John Prus in 1978 and sister Roberta (Bert) Schaill in 1998. Eileen was born in Waukegan, Illinois on August 12, 1924, the oldest child of Frances and Albert Pielow. Her family moved to England for a short period of time and then immigrated back to Winnipeg, MB and to St. James where she has since resided. Eileen was an avid bowler at St. James Lanes, where she bowled in the Ladies Leagues, Mondays and Wednesdays and she even made a television appearance on Bowling for Dollars . She was well known in the neighborhood as the Avon Lady. Eileen was always up for a trip to the Casinos of Winnipeg as well as numerous casino trips to the Minnesota area; even a bus trip to Reno, Nevada. She was a very loving and caring person always willing to lend a hand to help her family and others. Mom could often be found in the kitchen baking her famous Wacki cake and Rice pudding and/or making each son his favorite pies for festive occasions. The family would like to thank the staff at Grace Hospital, Deer Lodge Hospital and Heritage Lodge Personal Care Home for their kindness shown to our mother and the support to the family during Mom's illness. We would like to say a special thank-you to Mom's friends; Len, Dorothy and Aura for their visits to Mom.
