RENA COOTE (nee REMILLARD) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rena Coote after a brief yet courageous battle with cancer on May 11, 2008 at the age of 76. Rena will be truly missed by Al, her husband of 49 years, her daughters, Cathy (Paul Goldstein), Lisa (Timothy Allinson) and grandsons, Braydon and Kyle Goldstein. Also remaining to cherish her memory is her sister Denise Friesen (Len), brother-in-law Herb Burke, numerous nieces and nephews, friends and neighbours. She was predeceased by her parents Rene and Mary Remillard and sisters Terry Saelens, and Joyce Burke and grandson Matthew Goldstein. Rena was born and raised in St. Boniface, and resided the last 44 years in Westwood. Rena's passion was her family and her grandchildren, always supporting them in all their wishes, dreams and endeavours. After many years caring for her family, she returned to the work force, working in the retail sector in women's fashions, which fit perfectly with her exceptional sense of style and her special way with people. Special thanks to Chris and the rest of the Home and Palliative Care team for their special care and guidance. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rena's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 2B7, or a charity of your choice. Memorial service will take place Friday, May 16, 2008 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. CHAPEL LAWN 885-9715
