ELMA YASAY RANA Born on March 19, 1949 in Nueva Viscaya, Philippines, Elma passed away at the young age of 59 on May 22, 2008 at the Health Sciences Centre after battling health complications caused by kidney failure and two strokes. Elma will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Ernesto; son Dickson; daughter Jacqueline; grandchildren Racquelle, Marissa, Jordan, Christopher, Trinity and Tristan; daughter-in-law Janet; son-in-law Ian; brothers Junior and Romulo; sister Myrna; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, Godchildren and many friends. She was predeceased by her parents Paula and Wenceslao. Elma married Ernesto on May 18, 1969 and moved to Winnipeg in 1971 where they raised their children and have lived and worked since. The family would like to thank all their wonderful relatives and friends who have extended their support and prayers during this difficult time. Also thanks to all the doctors, nurses and unit assistants of GH4 at the Health Sciences Centre. Lamay will be held at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street (Phone 338-7111) on Thursday, May 29 and Friday, May 30 from 6:00 p.m. to midnight. Funeral service will be held at St. Edward's Church, 818 Arlington Street (Phone 774-4539) on Saturday, May 31 at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main Street (Phone 338-7111).
