Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANN LANCASTER (nee BURNICLE) Peacefully on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 passed away at the age of 96 at Visa Park Lodge, Winnipeg. Ann was predeceased by her husband Scott of 43 years, who passed away in 1977, and her brothers John and Harold, sisters Elsie and Ida of England. Mom will be lovingly remembered by her three daughters, Carol (Eldon) Ross, Linda (Don) McLean and Donna Lancaster. Ann has five grandchildren Catherine Ross, Ian (Tracey) Ross, Christine (Kevin) Roberts, Tanya (Geoff) Spence and Clinton Gibbins, as well as 14 great-grandchildren who were a source of love and pleasure over the years. Ann was born in West Hartlepool, Durham, England on October 14, 1911 and came to Canada at the age of 16. Ann was employed as a secretary at Merchants Consolidated. She married Scott Lancaster on August 11, 1934 and resided in St. Vital on Elm Park Road. Ann enjoyed traveling, golfing, bowling, bridge, writing short stories, poetry, painting landscapes and portraits. A number of her poems and short stories were published. Ann took great pleasure in her times at the beach and sitting in her backyard during the summer enjoying a good book and the Manitoba sunshine. At Ann's request cremation has taken place and there will be no service. Should friends so desire, donations may be made in her memory to a charity of your choice. CHAPEL LAWN 885-9715
