DOROTHY PODMORE September 14, 1921 May 23, 2008 On May 23, 2008 Dorothy passed away very peacefully with family by her side at the age of 86 years. Dorothy was born on September 14, 1921 to Richard Edgar Wrightson and Gertrude Bryan in Blackpool, England. After growing up in Longton, Staffordshire she married Frederick Podmore. 12 years after Fred's passing Dorothy came to Canada at the age of 60 to be close to her family. She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Ann (David) Brough, Christine Podmore (Patrick Stewart); granddaughters, Tracey (Stewart) Silagy and their children, Nikita and Izac, Kirsten (Conrad) Schellenberg and their children Rebecca and Sarah, and grandson Matthew (Cheryl) Brough. The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff of 3 East Riverview Health Centre. Cremation has already taken place and a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dorothy's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Children's Wish Foundation.
