RAYMOND THUOT On May 29th, 2008 Raymond Thuot passed away, beloved husband of Lorie. Besides his wife, he is survived by his dear children, Robert, Normand, Diane (Doug) MacDonald of Winnipeg, Georges (Dolorès), grandchildren, Jean François, Gabrielle and Camille of Rouyn-Norenda, brother Paul of Waterloo, Ontario and sister Edna Perron of Lethbridge, Alberta. Raymond was predeceased by his wife Céline (née Massicotte) and his son Marc. Raymond was born and raised in Meyronne, Saskatchewan. He spent more than 20 years as a History professor at Saint Boniface College. Raymond loved a good book, the theater, cinema, symphony, travel, bridge, cribbage, politics, sports and life in general. He was a long time member of the Knights of Columbus and had the honor of serving as Grand Knight of three councils. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Dialysis Unit, the Sixth floor, the Palliative Care Unit and the Pastoral Care team at Saint Boniface Hospital, for the loving care of Raymond. Cremation has taken place and a funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Raymond.
