WILLIAM JOHN PRUDEN It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of William John Pruden Jack Cook a loving father, stepfather, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at the age of 67 years. William leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Rose Hodgson of Beren's River; his son Samuel Sumner Japan (Sharon); stepchildren, Lorne, Virgil and Charlene. He also is survived by his brothers, Arthur Pruden (Olive) and Noel Pruden; his sisters, Ida Desjarlais (Jack), Ellen Jane Chartrand (Gabriel) and Harriet Piche; treasured granddaughter Geraldine; grandsons, Samuel Jr. and Gerald; grand nieces, grand nephews, nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives. William was predeceased by his parents, Angus John Pruden Japan and Julia Pruden; his sister Sophie Letandre; beloved nephew Gordon Pruden Gordy and Victor Traverse Root who he considered as one of his brothers. William Jack Cook was born September 13, 1940 and raised in Fairford, Manitoba. He spent many years of his life in Fairford, where he dug Seneca Root. He also worked and hoed Sugar Beets in Oakville, Manitoba for a living before he made his home in Winnipeg. William loved and cared for his brothers and sisters very much and would often help them out if he knew they needed some extra help. He liked to tease his grand nieces and grand nephews, but also showed how much he really cared for them. He was always a very humble and happy person. During the last two months of his life, a few Christians would come to his house every Wednesday to bring the Word of God, sing songs of praise unto Jesus and fellowship with him. A wake service will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Both services will be held at the Fairford House of Prayer, Fairford, Manitoba, with Pastor Wilfred Bruce and Rev. Don Gould officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Helen's Anglican Cemetery. Arrangements Entrusted To: Ashern, Manitoba 1-866-293-4951
