EDWIN WALTER BROOKER (Fast Eddie) January 6, 1927 July 7, 2008 Suddenly on July 7, 2008 at the Seven Oaks General Hospital, Eddie Brooker passed away at the age of 81 years. He was born January 6, 1927 in London England where he served in the British Army. In 1967 Ed and Family immigrated to Canada. He worked most of his career as a Machinist until his retirement. Eddie often talked about doing the ton on his motorbike in the good old days. He also enjoyed camping trips, gardening and playing darts at the West Kildonan Legion. Eddie was predeceased by his sister Irene Josephs of New Zealand. Left to mourn his passing are his best friend and companion Jean Eggen, brother Colin Brooker of England, and his sons David, Mark (Carla), Paul (Sam), Neil (Caren) and grandkids, Jocelyn, Justin, Cole, Darcy and Liam Brooker. A memorial service will be held on July 14, 2008 at the West Kildonan Legion, Hartford and Main Street Branch at 2:00 p.m. Special thanks to the staff of the City of Winnipeg E.M.T's and at the Seven Oaks Hospital Emergency Ward.
